Kali In-5 Vs Neumann KH80

ngl i've used both in untreated rooms and the kh80 are way more honest but brutally revealing. kali in5 are fun and forgiving for heavy bass music. if your room isn't treated, the kh80's ma1 calibration kit works magic - measures your room and adjusts the speakers. Neumann MA 1 comes as a bundle wit

Kali IN-5 vs Kali IN-8 in small room

From my experience, larger speakers always sound better. While the Kali IN5 and IN8 have similar low‑frequency extension on paper, the IN8 has significantly lower distortion. I’ve never bought into the idea that you have to match speaker size to room size — I’d always go bigger without hesitation. T

New Monitor Speakers

I really like my Kali Audio monitors. Very good value across their lines. For $900, you can get a new pair of IN-5, or for $1000, a pair of IN-8s, which are great three way speakers. You might try those and if you find the bass lacking, add a sub. Or for $600, you could do their LP-8.

Active speakers for rotary mixer

Kali audio in-5 ( this is a v2 model anyway), or if u have a bigger room the in-8 v2 (the in8 had a older v1 model, the in5 was much newer). Its a very neutral speaker, you can boost the low end +2 db (aling with other minor tweaks via the dip switches). A very clean, neutral, and not ov3rly bassy s

Would smaller monitors cause less fatigue in a small room?

Hmm... I don't know that loudness by number, but are you just listening too loud? Could it be the wide range of frequencies, from the subs to the top end air frequencies that just overload your brain after a while? If so, I kind of get that... My monitoring situation isn't high end or anything, but

Genelec 8030A vs the Kali Audio in 5 for mixing in my room

I have kali in5, was juggling between in8 and genelec. What I like about kali is 3way system and that they actually go down to 36hz - anything below that is just cut. The bass becomes very clean at 39hz so there is almost no rumble below that. They are very flat and so far all my mixses translate gr

KALI IN8 V2 good for music listening and production later on? My last option

They are pretty good so far. They have alot of bass for a 5" and its good they have a dip switch on the back to keep them flat or slightly boost the treble.Tbh im thinking the 8" Kali are going to be too bassy for my room but i just had to try them after seeing the reviews on them, ive been curious.

Sanity check: should I buy the Kali Audio IN-5 monitors?

I own Kali LP-8s, and the IN-5s are absolutely in my future. I think it's a great buy for my situation - maybe for yours, too: Kali came to the market to compete with the big dogs, and punches above their weight. While they started on the affordable side, they've done well and are already making spe

Recommend me speakers with good bass without subwoofer

I feel you on wanting good bass without a sub. For your desk size and budget, the Kali Audio IN-5 actually has surprising low-end extension for a studio monitor. I've found they handle movie soundtracks really well. Another option that might work is the Audioengine A5+ - they're designed for near-fi
