JBL charge 6 portable speaker. It’s pretty awesome, cost about $130 at Walmart. It’s also water proof. I recommend

I use a JBL CHARGE 6 with a 20,000 mha power bank. Download videos / music from YouTube and play offline from my phone. I can’t work without it. I play various. Never country. Never. Mostly world of Warcraft. But I do have *move ****, get out the way

Best Bluetooth speaker?
I’m late, but I’m going to hijack this thread with some of my findings to help people out. If you’re listening to wonky shit like Tape B/Liquid Stranger AND hard shit like Excision/Wooli/Kai Wachi, the JBL flip lineup does not deliver well. Minimum you want a JBL Charge 6. The flip sounds OKAY, but

So like, what's the actual issue with just using a simple DAC like this?
No of course. That is, if it hasn't rotten or blown out at this stage. But even a small JBL Charge 6 can give a very great sound in the car if you put it on the dashboard. It's a simple solution if you want to have BT instead of replacing the head unit
