You can for sure get a pair of professionally-decent audio monitors for $300-$500 US. They won't be great and I wouldn't use them to finish audio for Netflix or whatever, but for most corporate work, YouTube, and lots of other stuff, there are a bunch of good options. If it's a work tool, write it off and get IN8 or IN5 or whatever suits you and your budget best. Also consider KH120 or JBL705 or Shape 50 for compact alternatives, or maybe LYD48 as a landscape three-way nearfield. If you are on a budget, there is also JBL 306/308 or HS7/8.
