Yamaha HS5 or JBL 305P MkII (5”)

There are newer products that we would usually recommend people over the Yamaha or JBL. For example the Kali Audio models: Kali Audio LP-6v2 (EAC review) ASR review of Yamaha HS5 EAC review of JBL 305P MkII ASR review of JBL 305P MkII

[Help Needed] Smart Speaker Setup with Home Assistant (₹20K–₹30K Budget)

WiiM’s products are likely the way to go. And note, as you probably have seen, that they don’t otherwise have microphones for voice control — besides in their additional/optional remote controller. Also we would usually recommend at least WiiM Pro Plus, because it has better DAC than Mini or Pro. Bu

And Edifier products are far from Kali or JBL quality. The newer Edifier MR3 might be worth considering, but not

JBL 305p mk2 vs Mackie MR524 for daily general non-professional usage?

Generally yes, though it's not like there's a huge difference between the two in terms of sound. Though I've learned that the JBL 305P MkII emit an audible hiss when they're running, so if you're sensitive to that then I would go with the Mackie MR524 instead as they don't have this issue.
