I think your best bet is to switch to a closed lid water bottle for the time on crutches. Backpacks are going to really struggle to hold a Stanley, especially when you consider the process of putting on a backpack. As far as a backpack itself, I’m a fan of Jansports. My preference is a Big Student.

i love my jansport bag—- specifically the big student. theres a couple diff options with different amounts of pockets/slots etc for organizing and is pretty large. also there’s many fun colors and patterns (if you can have one that’s not black)

For that amount of stuff I’d look at something around 21-26L, not a small fashion backpack. You’ll want a padded laptop pocket, two main compartments, comfy straps, and a side pocket for a bottle.
