Combos from iRobot aren’t that great, to be honest. The i5 as a vacuum isn’t bad at all. It’s the lower mid level but no less cleans decent. J5 and j7 are great mid to middle upper levels. I have limited experience with a combo and I wasn’t a fan. The vacuuming aspect of things is great.

I would recommend a roomba model that detects stuff, from a J7, J7+ to a J9, J9+ (the do detect pet "presents"😅) not the J9+combo, (that units dock had plenty of failures) I would also go for a Plus 505 combo if you also want to mop the floor, because It has the laser view but also a front camera. I use a Roomba j7+. It’s not cheap, and it doesn’t mop, but it’s been decent for dust and pet hair on hard floors. It avoids random stuff on the floor like wires, clothes, or blankets most of the time. Haven’t tested it with pet mess, but it claims to avoid that too. What I like: it’s easy to clean.
