PSA: Insta360 Ace Pro 2 “lens protector” issue makes the dive case useless (unless you buy another part)
Look at the last image For people downvoting me to oblivion The lens protector itself is what makes the camera water proof up to 10m. If I remove that, it is no longer water proof. I'm imagining a scenario where i have the dive case on without the lens protector and I've to handle the camera on a bo

Do any of you take cameras with you running? If so, which one?!
Get an Insta360 Ace Pro 2 with the xplorer grip. It’s water resistant up to 30m, has good battery life and takes 48mp Raw photos. The video is not great (IMO YMMV). But the photos I have taken with that little thing were so fun, and the lens cover is replaceable so if you drop it it’s not a big deal

Looking for easy underwater camera
I use a DJI Osmo Action 5 with a dive case and really like it. Doing video during scuba and freediving. Really good battery life compared to the 4. The 6 is good too, but costs a little more. Re stills, while there is a photo mode, I find the quality good enough to take frames from the video instead

Looking for easy underwater camera
Insta360 Ace Pro 2 (with dive case)! Underwater mode is pretty great. And pretty great as a normal action / vlog camera too

Go3s image quality
It was a rainy day, but here are pictures taken with the Go3S and the Ace Pro 2 side by side. Handheld. The Go3S (newest firmware release 1.3.59) looks over-sharpened when you zoom in. This cannot be changed, as the "Photo" mode does not let you adjust the post-processing for whatever reason. (WTF??

Underwater Camera Suggestions?
You should get either the dji Osmo action 5/6 or insta360 ace pro 2. GoPro isn't the best for underwater;sensor is smaller. Other 2 also have better color balance/tweaking out of the box.

Ace Pro 2 (updated v2, not square lens)
I bought the Ace Pro 2. It's a great camera. Out of the box the Ace Pro 2 is waterproof up to 39ft (12m). So snorkeling you should be fine as is. I bought the insta360 dive housing from a site that still happened to have one, but with the new redesigned lens, it doesn't fit. I ended up reaching out

Are there any real alternatives to DJI?
Navigating the whole drone ban situation is super frustrating. I actually felt the exact same way about Insta360 until a buddy let me borrow his Ace Pro 2. It completely changed my mind. The build quality is incredibly solid and the Leica lens puts out better video than my old DJI gear. It is a legi

Snorkelling and diving camera
Just go for the Osmo Action 5 or newer, or the Insta360 Ace Pro / Ace Pro 2. As an underwater photographer, if you choose a camera with an underwater housing, you’ll also need to invest in a wide-angle lens and a strobe to get good shots of large subjects. A fisheye dome port, wide dome port, or a w

Sounds like you want one camera that can cover a bit of everything, running, travel, family stuff. I get what you mean about all the sponsored content, but tbh Insta360 ace pro 2 does fit your kind of use pretty well. For marathons especially, you’ll want something durable and easy to just keep reco
