Maybe the iLoud MTM in white. Only good MTM that comes to mind at a desktop form factor. They measure great for their size, but are pretty expensive.

If you just need decent sound quality, the Adams are the smarter choice since you can use the rest of the budget for a subwoofer. iLoud MTM MKII are excellent. they come with mic and room correction software. This makes such a difference. Not sure price in $ but get a second hand pair if you can. 100% the best bet if your room isnt accoustically treated. Otherwise the lows, even on a $10,000 pair of speakers, will still be off

This is not completely analogous to your setup, but I just moved from my HS5’s I’ve had for the last 13 years to iLoud Micro Monitor Pro’s with the room correction mic, and it was a “wow” moment for me. Maybe give those, or the iLoud MTM’s, plus their sub a look, as it would give you the full spectr

I recently went through this myself. The problem with asking about studio monitors is that people who are mixing music are looking for something totally different than a musician just wanting decent "good" sound while they're making/playing music. Studio monitors are not going to sound good and full

IK Multimedia iLoud MTM MKII is a great speaker and great value for immersive setups (with the longest and stupidest name ever) I assume you would also be mixing in that same room since you wouldn't have the budget for 2 systems?

The name is a little silly, but the iLoud MTM speakers punch waaaay above their weight class for how reasonably sized they are. Get a pair and never understand how you could live with just MacBook speakers ever again.
