I bought a pair of wired Cloud III's this weekend and plugged them into my laptop, expecting the worst due to reviews like this. However, to my ears they're good! All around, the sound profile is neutral, but the bass is still there and not over done or muddy. Sound stage is honestly impressive for

I disagree. I think the Cloud III was fine as is, bluetooth audio means nothing to me (wouldn't use it for fps and I only use the cloud III's for gaming.. so..).. and the sound profile is absolutely perfect for their purpose (gaming, fps specifically, imo). I also think all gaming headphones that ar

Give the Hyper-X Cloud III S Wireless a try. They sound excellent out of the box and tick all of the other boxes as well - especially comfort and connectivity. Even the audiophile folks are taking notice: https://youtu.be/XDCohM8uNF0?si=Ue2TVmhb7UgzCmgx https://youtu.be/sN-MUaR9zeM?si=Xd5Gvv-l6zMJAE

The treble peaks in 2k-20k frequency is the high pitch/shrilling of gunfire that can cause ear fatigue. Create a custom eq bringing them down by 1-2 db until it stops bothering you. If you look at this squiglink you can see the peaks past 2k.

if you’re choosing between the HyperX Cloud III Wireless and the Razer BlackShark V3, the Cloud III is usually the safer pick for most people. it’s lighter, noticeably more comfortable for long sessions, has longer battery life, and the sound profile is more balanced for both gaming and general use.
