Can I run ED on a Dell XPS laptop?
That Dell XPS is incredibly low value for what you are paying for it. It can most likely run it, since E:D will run on basically anything above a toaster. But only a 512 GB SSD is basically criminal for two grand. As much as I hate the bloatware they come with, I find the HP Victus line to be decent

I don't get the hype. It's too expensive.

Looking for an affordable laptop for my girlfriend, but lost in the options

ngl for data engineering you definitely want that nvidia gpu for cuda. the two asus models you listed are solid but check out the HP Victus 15 which should fall right around 75k rupees in india. it comes with ryzen 5 7535hs, rtx 3050, 16gb ddr5, and 512gb gen4 ssd. battery life is decent for a budge
