OMEN MAX

I have Hp Omen Max 16 with RTX 5080, didn’t repaste. Temperatures holding well in my honest opinion. Quite a good laptop actually, never once regretted buying it.

So I got an HP Omen Max 16 last week with a 255HX. Noticed high temps (hitting 102 degrees on some cores) and intermittent throttling that I could temporarily solve by turning down cores 1 and 2 down to 51x core ratio and core 6/7/8 down to 49x. I have Omen Max 16 with 5090 and 275 processor. I must have won the paste lottery as my cpu temp doesnt exceed 85c. I do use a cooling pad which helps significantly. I do also keep it on performance mode full time. I believe in the omen hub i saw there were options to undervolt. Next time I power on

You can consider the new Hp omen max 16 , Lenovo legion 9i or, get the Asus zephyrs g14 and 16 compat and good cooling with more then enough performance for an architecture

I used TG PhaseSheet on my wife's HP Omen Max 16 and it's been running well. No complaints. Cores under heavy load can reach 100C, but that's to be expected (there's no undervolting). I've just as much seen it be power limited rather than temperature limited.
