Company Issued Laptop
HP 840 G11 i7 32gb ram across the board. Its a bit overspec'd for some teams but its not worth the hassle of managing multiple models and dealing with the individual requests for a more powerful pc.

I am thoroughly impressed with the state of gaming on Linux
My work laptop (HP Notebook 840 G11) ran Windows 10 when I got it, and it was pretty smooth. Not as smooth as my Linux install, but it didn't crash at all. A few months ago I had to take it to IT Support because they had to switch all of their assets to Windows 11. Now I hate this laptop. Windows 11

Locked out of HP BIOS, tried everything — any other options?
What model is it? There are people who might be able to remove it if you can dump the BIOS and associated chips but it’s quite invasive. I have an HP 840 G11 with a locked BIOS and gave up as there was a risk of damaging the system.

Hp EliteBook 840 g11 screen not waking up
I'm noticing this issue when I have an HDMI monitor attached to the laptop. When I reboot the laptop is comes up in a "Black Screen" state. I have detach the HDMI and perform a "Hard Reboot" to bring up the login. Running the HP Image assistant did not solve the issue. All firmware and BIOS is curre
