14 Laptop

I bought an HP Envy 14 laptop in 2010 for college with Windows 7. Loved it even with all it's quirks. 2012 and Windows 8 comes out. This is the most incredible laptop I've ever used. They are supposed to get faster, but this thing is so inexpensive and so powerful! Ryzen 3 w/ a Radeon GPU, it's just amazing.

I'm running Linux Mint Cinnamon on it. It installed easily, no problems, no extra drivers to hunt for.

So I'm looking for a new laptop for university. I'm currently try to set a foot into the world of cyber security and after my current laptop, due to low performance, can't handle many of the things I have to run on it (two virtual machines at once, virus scanner programs don't terminate etc.

My HP 14 laptop from 2018 is running Linux mint like it’s new. Linux mint only takes up ~4gb of ram and is responsive. Internet bloat is the only real downfall of older hardware in a modern web environment.
