What controller would you recommend?
I play sf6 with a fightpad and could not go back to a normal controller. Depending on the platform you play on you have multiple choices. I have a hori octa (budget) and a victrix (premium). Love them both. Of course there are fightsticks and leverless too.

surely someone has made a modernised bluetooth version of one of these controllers:
Humble Bazooka is working on a commercially-available bluetooth adapter for the 3D Pad: https://www.segasaturnshiro.com/2026/03/17/humble-bazooka-revives-3d-controller-bluetooth-adapter-project/ If you're looking for a bluetooth 6-button pad with analog sticks, the Hori Fighting Commander Octa Pro i

Newcomer to the FGC, and really struggling with motion inputs.
Both stick and dpad are valid. I use stick on a Hori octa commander and it feels great. A lot of people do prefer pad though, find what feels best for you. And honestly, it will just come with time. Work on feeling out the individual movements of the inputs in slow motion. For example. Ryu Hadouken

Looking for a PS5/PC controller with an Xbox Series-style d-pad — recommendations?
I would recommend a Brook Wingman FGC 2 or the Wingman P5 converter {same as the FGC 2 but with wireless sync feature) and pair it up with any controller than rather than buying a third party licensed PS5 controller since they all have premium price tags except for the Hori Fighting Commander Octa P

Is there a good controller with a 8 way joystick
I have the Hori Fightpad Octa on Xbox. I really enjoy it, but I don't play competitively at all. I also got it for like $12 on a Woot sale, so I find it hard to complain about lol

Am I at a big disadvantage if I’m using the analog stick instead of d pad?
Objectively speaking, yes. Analog sticks are clunky and unprecise for fighting games. That being said, it's a genre you can make almost anything work. If you are hung on using the analog I would recommend getting the Hori Octa fightpad. It was pretty much made for this. But it would be better to jus

Anyone who plays sf6 on gamepad, what gamepad would you recommend?
I've been using a fightpad (Hori Fighting Commander Octa Juri Edition) for a year and a half and I find myself pretty good with it, especially because of the six buttons layout that gives me a more intuitive way to press heavy normals - and the fact I don't need to click the uncomfortable analog sti

What are some good pad controllers for sf6? I use the analog stick and am looking for a new one.
i use the hori fighting commander octa, it has 6 face buttons on mouse switches. I don't use the stick, but it is very precise and the circle is octagon-shaped so it's easier to find the directions. some models don't have a right stick, however. goes for around 60 bones

How do you choose your controller ?
When I first started out I used the xbox controller that came with the console. The analog stick was ok but I wasnt very good on the dpad. Unfortunately, 66/44/22 motions felt too tedious and switching back and downback on stick felt inconsistent so I decided to buy a leverless. The thing is, I only
