HEKSE
I ran Hifiman headphones for years before realising that Meze and ZMF are much more to my taste. I still enjoy my modded and EQ'd HE6se V2 for music and EQ'd Arya Stealth for multiplayer gaming. They are both special headphones to me and don't think I can part ways with them. The HE1000 Stealth is a

Am I expecting too much?
Short Answer: Yes, you expected too much. Longer Answer: It's a business, and they already cut the profit margins on those cans by refurbishing them. Simply buying another pair of headphones is not really doing anything as a courtesy to them. It's just another transaction. It probably happens a lot

Hifiman HE1000SE / HE1000 Stealth with Jotunheim 2 & Mimir
Yes. I do also have the HE6se v2 that I picked up for $300 that I like to use for metal, punk & hip hop. Bass is pretty sick on that headphone, although not sure about QC issues. I’ve read that the HE6se v2 had tons of issues with stuck drivers and was one of the headphones contributing to Hifiman’s

The Batman of Headphone | Meze Empyrean II
Honestly, the crunch on the Verite is addictive! I also have the HE6se V2 which is plenty neutral, and punchy, to the point I'd say they're like a blank canvas where you can paint your own picture via EQ. After doing the grill mod and EQ, I have got them to sound very wide reminiscent of egg-shaped

14 years later - HE-500
Always wanted to try this. My HE6se V2 sounds great, amped reasonably by thr iHA-8. Really have always liked the more uniform presentation by circle cup Hifimans compared to the egg-shaped ones, though both have their respective strengths. Have you tried the HE6se V2 and how different is it to this?

Thought the Setup Looked Good Today
I used to use the Arya Stealth at one point but now I rotate between the HE1000 Stealth and HE6se V2 modded. To me they are the only two HiFimans I find not to have a sharp top end whilst being extremely detailed and slams hard.

Headphones for recommendation for gaming
My personal favorite in that range is the Aune AR5000, which I found on a holiday sale for $210. It’s very good for gaming and also great for music, much better than I expected. There are Sennheiser headphones in this ballpark that are considered very good for gaming, but the one I have, the HD490 P

Arya-stealth vs HE1000SE
Hifiman generally has a similar house sound when it comes to their egg-shaped stuff. But the best way to discern the differences is to use one headphone for a long while and then switch. I buy only two headphones a year and just rock them out. Both different brands of course. But this year I did som

What’s Actually The Best Headset Under $200 Right Now?
I have the HE1000se, HE6se V2, Editions XS and XV, and the Kithara, which I am pretty sure is the Ananda Stealth converted into a gaming headset. HiFiMan is definitely my most frequently purchased brand. They sound incredible and are very comfortable if you have larger ears.

HE1000SE vs Ananda Nano
The only Hifiman's I've listened to is the the Arya Stealth and HE6se V2. Based off of user feedback/experience from multiple sources, the Organic is quite V-shaped with a spicy treble up top and the SE lacks the punch/heft and is the most incisive out of the bunch with a very bright top end. So in
