You can see in the CSD plots where making contact with the grills while doing measurement sweeps makes a few resonances stop completely. Same thing has applied to a ton of Hifimans and some people have documented the window shade grills losing their resonance after gluing a metal bar down the center

Always wanted to try this. My HE6se V2 sounds great, amped reasonably by thr iHA-8. Really have always liked the more uniform presentation by circle cup Hifimans compared to the egg-shaped ones, though both have their respective strengths. Have you tried the HE6se V2 and how different is it to this?

I used to use the Arya Stealth at one point but now I rotate between the HE1000 Stealth and HE6se V2 modded. To me they are the only two HiFimans I find not to have a sharp top end whilst being extremely detailed and slams hard.

My personal favorite in that range is the Aune AR5000, which I found on a holiday sale for $210. It’s very good for gaming and also great for music, much better than I expected. There are Sennheiser headphones in this ballpark that are considered very good for gaming, but the one I have, the HD490 P
