First time buyer (Pro Hybrid Type-S vs Studio)
I have both, and to be honest, I don’t use the gesture panels on the Studio very much. If I had to recommend one for now, I’d say go with the Hybrid Type-S. The Hybrid Type-S uses Topre, which are super comfortable for long typing sessions. It’s also a great way to get used to the HHKB layout. On to

Font comparison
The studio is a weird duck. Though not Topre, the switches/caps feel quite nice and silent. The track-point works very well. As well as IBM/Lenovo I would say, not the crap Dell fed users. I would recommend it on a good sale. $400 is getting into Mode Tempo territory (or two HHKB pro territory).

I bought an HHKB Studio… and I really like it
I like mine, I'm a Thinkpad guy and this keyboard helps me retain some of the Thinkpad ergonomics. I hate the charcoal print on the black keys, I replaced my keycaps with white keys + black print. The linear switches are OK, not my favorite, I wish they were more clicky, but not many choices out the

trackpoint = thinkpad?
hhkb studio. A bit pricey being full cherry mx and all, but honestly not as bad as some of the rare ibm trackpoint keyboards go for. Price does depend a bit on where you are in the world, its made in japan for the domestic market primarily.

Is the HHKB studio worth it?
I think it strongly depends on your personal usecase. I really love my HHKB Studio but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If you're just chasing to try some MX switches and don't care about the other features at all, then I would go for another board. Not because the Studio is bad, but there are jus

Should I collect the HHKB Studio too?
not trying to change your mind but: HHKB Studio keycaps, though limited, are way cheaper than buying some of the higher end doubleshot ABS options (if you go GMK, for example) if you're into 3d printing, they provide the 3d models for all their keycaps on the site (though if you bought a cherry prof

Bittersweet Farewell: Saying goodbye to my HHKB Pro 2 today
trackpoint and mouse buttons built in to a standalone keyboard isn’t really innovation There was also a Realforce trackpoint keyboard a very very long time ago, lol. Anyways, those features alone aren't the innovative part - it's all that plus the gesture pads on the sides/front. They basically addi

Plz HHKB STUDIO TOPRE ver
For how long did you try to use Topre 45g? It felt heavy to me at first, but after some months I got used to it, and now my Gateron Brown keyboard just feels horribly light.Now I'm using DesDomes V3 49g for 3 weeks and I found my other HHKB with 45g too light.So I guess it might be just a matter of
