What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?
For like 10ish years of my life, I was doing janitorial work in hospitals. I finished waxing a floor and took a seat on one of the chairs in the doctors' space I was working in. It was a Herman Miller Embody. That chair was on my mind for close to another 10 years and a career transition into engine

CEO's Assistant said it wasn't right I had a nicer chair than he did
I bought a Herman Miller Embody like 10 years ago and have spent at least 35 hours a week in it since. I got a ridiculously good deal on it but even if I paid full retail it would still have been worth it. My wife finally got sick of her shitty Staples chair during COVID and we ended up getting an A

Gaming vs Ergonomic Chair

I loved the Aeron when I used to work for a previous company so I decided to buy one for home. Since they cost a lot compared to most other similar office chairs, I went to the shop to see what else Herman Miller made and compare. When I sat on all of the HM chairs the best one by far was the Embody

What’s an expensive brand that actually IS worth the money?
Herman Miller office chairs. Ever since I got my Embody 5 years ago back pain was eliminated. Worth every penny and you get 12 years warranty on them!

What are some things that you bought that you don't regret buying?
My Herman Miller Embody. I cannot go back to regular office chairs. I like them so much, I made sure each one of my employees that needs one has one. Even the guy who is on the road 3 days a week. I am a firm believer in investing in the people who work hard for you. Especially in a time where reten

The best office chair for 5+ hours of work that's actually worth the money?
There's lots of discussions on r/buyitforlife on this, recommend reading through a search there. Herman Miller Aeron is the #1 suggestion on there, I'd recommend finding a store if you can get to one to try it. Steelcase is also good and a bit cheaper. I got the Herman Miller Embody just because I d

My Logitech collection is growing :)
Steelcase and Herman Miller charge around $1600-2000 for the Leap V2/Aeron which are considered some of the best office chairs available. The Logitech G Embody is within the same price range, and seems to be an equivalent tier product.

Am I the only one who is baffled by these types of posts:
Herman Miller Embody chair. Pricey, but best purchase I made during COVID when everything went WFH
