Halo collars?
I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews for Halo, not sure why, though. My friend has one of those devices on his Beagle, Coop, and that dog can be so unpredictable. One time, he’ll be sleeping, and the next, he’s off and won’t be back, and the main issue here is the 55mph road. Friend’s trainer had recomm

Does the Halo Collar shock your dog?
It is a shock. Its semantics to call it not. But that doesnt make it terrible. Whats traditional thought of as a shock collar is basically a negative stimuli for whenever you think the do is misbehaving. Ie you shock them whenever they do something you dont want. While you could actually do that wit

i built 15k worth of 6 ft vinyl fencing around my property after trying and failing with tie offs, the halo collar (gps digital collar that he would just run past the barrier and take the shock), and only having supervised outdoor time (with me being in the back yard the dude would still try to hop

Bogey after 3 straight hours of running around hunting… so very tired
We trained him on a Halo collar, and it was actually pretty easy to get him used to it. One of my favorite features is that it lets us see exactly where he is, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. We have a 50-acre property in Wisconsin, but we only give him access to about 10–15 acres using the c

It’s a HALO collar. Their main draw is ability geofence but many user reports of the collar delivering uncommanded stim/shocks due to poor gps accuracy.

Invisible Fence
Halo collar is my suggestion. I use it for my V. He is 14 months now. Taught him at 9-10 months old. We live on about 1.5 acres. I use the double beep to warn him that he is close to a fence line. Then actually level 1 of the shock if he crosses. The shock goes up to level 15, good lord. The level 1

The halo collars are awesome. I create a fence around our hiking area and the whistle function works great if I need to recall them off a rabbit or deer. Works better than the e collar. I don’t use the prongs on the halo collar just the sound/vibrate.

Proximity collars.
We had Spot On at first and were not impressed with the quality for the price, it constantly had difficulty charging. We switched to the Halo collar and it's been incredible, we have a 1 year old VERY active GSP on 5 acres and she is very responsive to it. Definitely recommend. I also like that we c

Halo Collar Experience?
I use the Halo collar on my 17 month old intact corso and it works like a charm. I live on a 70 acre farm and my driveway is about 1500' long. My closest neighbors are about a quarter mile away. One day a strange ball showed up in the front yard of my house and I know for a fact it wasn't ours. It d

Halo Collar 4 Review & PRICE DROP Reveal — Worth It Now?
My dog’s been using the Halo collar 4 and it’s been awesome. Before getting it, I compared it with Tractive, and while Tractive is solid for basic GPS tracking, Halo just fits my dog’s lifestyle better. It’s also a training tool and virtual fence, which makes it perfect for active dogs that need a b
