GoPro has been equaled or surpassed by their two main competitors in virtually every core aspect of an action camera. One thing that GoPro had that objectively set them apart - GPS dialed in - they removed from the 11 to 12. Either, or both, DJI/Insta have them equaled or beat in: Price. Battery. (N

If that’s a built in battery than that’s a hard no for me. I already have a dead GoPro hero 11 mini.

A new Hero11 is $289 on Amazon and I’m sure can be found for less elsewhere. You could also buy this used one for $130, then spend $50 signing up for the GoPro membership, and then $100 to replace the damaged camera with … a new Hero11. This is probably biased, but from my experience of owning a Go Pro Hero 11 camera, it feels as though the product has peaked, and better alternatives have entered the market. I personally wouldn't buy a second Go Pro ever again.

Hero 11 brand new. Problems since day 1. I'm using it inside, low humidity in an air controlled room, plugged into a mount to record a motionless room. Gave me issues about not having a battery even though I don't need one since I always keep it plugged in. Overheats from maybe only 20 minutes of us

The box looks correct - not just because it says Hero 12 compatible but the SKU number on the box ADDIV-001 also ties with a dive case from GoPro compatible with Hero 9,10,11,12. My guess is that you have the right box but someone has switched out the case itself for a dive case for Hero 5,6,7,8. Wh
