Terrible buildquality
On rule of thumb dealing with any hotswap socket is always to have something behind the PCB to support the thing, so that the force goes throught the plastic part to the support when pressing a switch in, not from the plastic part to the solder patches. And that's not only with Glorious boards as we

I'm new, why does GMMK get so much hate?
When the first GMMK keyboard appeared, people were pretty positive about it. It was the first easily-available fully modular keyboard and it was relatively inexpensive. When Glorious introduced compact and TKL models, it was all fine. When the GMMK Pro (with the knob) was announced, people were exci

kicked for input automation with glorious gmmk 2
Not a massive help, but I think it’s just the PCB/software they use. My GMMK pro started to actively die, keys wouldn’t work, double presses, etc. My guess is yours is doing something similar, the only fix I remember was setting polling rate to 125hz.

Possible to get GMMK 3 Pro with more space between keys on right side?
Hi Altruistic-Job, you might want to check out the GMMK 3 PRO 100%. The 100% keeps a more traditional full size layout, so there’s comfortable spacing between the arrow cluster and keys like delete, page up, and page down. That extra breathing room makes a big difference if you’re worried about acci

It's late, here is my old GMMK Pro
I'm assuming this was shot when it was new, because a work board that's this old with ABS caps wouldn't look like that LOL. Black ABS caps would be shined very nicely by now... even PBT ones would. I've still got my GMMK Pro. It's in my office performing work duties. Like you, I was fooled into buyi

what switch are you actually daily driving right now?
The GMMK 3 Pro gets the most desk time. KeyGeek Y2, poly plate, and Susuwatari MT3 keycaps 😁 2nd though is the Chilkey ND104, with the Fox Dunes, with poly plate and MT3 Dancer keycaps 😁 I've got another GMMK 3 that's built so I can swap the whole pcb and switch plate over that's built with KeyGeek

GMMK Pro Prebuilt - $48.75 out the door
I both love and loathe my GMMK Pro. I got caught up in the hype and pre ordered back in the day. I think I got 2nd or 3rd batch. Then mine arrived and 10 keys either wouldn't register or would double register. The hot swap sockets were shit. You could fix it by bending the legs on the switch, but th

Is there any place here from where I can get a custom keyboard built?
There is a lot of budget options now. But I’d recommend a gmmk pro, you only need a switch and keycaps there to complete it. I’d also recommend a linear switch to get that thocc sound. There’s a lot of youtube vids on it. You might want to watch. Edit: There are switches that are pre-lubed that you

Got told to buy an item for 150$ as a gift from my distant grandmother how did i do?
For that price, it's fine. I have a GMMK Pro, and no, they're not amazing, and it absolutely needs some mods to make it work properly, but for $50 or less, it's still a much, much better prospect than a Royal Kludge or Aula or some other plastic piece of crap that noobs these days rave about. Once m

My first Mechanical Keyboard - Epomaker RT100 Sea Salt Silent Switches.
ahhh understandable. i ended up spontaneously spending my new years eve taking apart my gmmk pro and my rt100 and i finally did it! would definitely recommend. the sea salt switches from epomaker have 4 pins instead of 2 (2 metal, 2 plastic), so i had to cut the 2 plastic pins to make it fit. was su
