3 new travel routers with WiFi 7

The TP-Link is Broadcom, TR3600 too, according to the official page. Those two are dead ends. The GL.iNet seems to be MT based: https://forum.gl-inet.com/t/beryl-7-gl-mt3600be/64350. There's also a GL-BE3600, using a Qualcomm SoC - https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-be3600/.

AmneziaWG on Slate 7 Pro

I have had feedback from Gl.iNet.They state that all routers that support AmneziaWG are v1 except Flint 2 and v4.9 supported routers that use v2.The Slate AX has a bug in the beta firmware where it is generating a v2 config, whereas it should be generating a v1 version. The difference is no S3-4 and

Slate 7 Pro much hotter than Beryl AX

The routers I have personally disassembled and the teardown videos I have reviewed, show that GL iNet uses aluminum heatsinks, thermal interface pads, sometime fans, and then encloses them in a plastic housing with minimal airflow. That combination is a deliberate design choice, and I feel it is a p

Slate 7 Pro much hotter than Beryl AX

GL iNet made its name by selling small, inexpensive routers that worked great for travel and for other DYI projects. The AR150, Mango, Shadow, N300, Creta, Original Slate (AR750S) and USB150 are all examples of great products that were small and functional. The USB150 is an amazingly small router, t

Mudi 7 Mega Post for Everything Mudi!

I have been in contact with customer services and have been escalated. Like you, 1st batch pre-order UK, and no communication at all. Wouldn’t be too bad if they hadn’t taken full payment mid February. Starting to regret parting money for early-bird on the Slate 7 Pro. The least GL.iNet could do is

How do you guys game on airplanes or hotel rooms with not great WiFi. Is it possible?

I think our little Portal tribe is awesome and helpful. I forgot about my travel router. I use the GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal) and the price point is significantly lower than the Slate 7 aka Slate AX just curious as to why the Slate is preferred over the Opal

So many smart apps

I use GL.iNet GL-BE3600 (Slate 7). This a travel router. It creates a local network in your RV. I connect all of my stuff to that network and only that network. The Slate 7 has a couple of options to get internet access. It can take an ethernet cable in, it can also act as a WiFi repeater. So depend

Bug report: AdGuard Home does not respect IPv6 setting GL-BE3600 (Slate 7)

AdGuard tries to use IPv6 no matter what. This results in sending IPv6 AAAA records (which are preferred) to IPv4 only hosts, and in many cases this breaks things if those hosts have IPv6 enabled but don't have a routable IPv6 address. Specifically for me it broke registering an Apple TV.
