T-Mobile 5G is useless for gaming without SQM
Yeah, I added SQM to my GL.iNet Flint 2 and Flint 3 routers. It's necessary to game on cellular gateways. Edit: who's down voting support for SQM? Why? If you have a better way, please enlighten us. If you simply disagree, have you tried it? Do you automatically assume cellular isn't worthy of gamin

Help choosing home router
As much as I love Unifi I would probably suggest a GL-iNet Flint 2 or Flint 3 for friends and family that don't need a full Unifi stack. They run on Openwrt and the hardware is pretty good, and they're more affordable than Ubiquiti. The only real benefit I can see for setting up friends or family wi

What routers can you configure without an app?
I believe most of them still have web ui available for configuring settings. Some of them make it a pain to do initial setup without an app though, for example my last Netgear Nighthawk you could set it up from the we ui but they were strongly pushing you to do it with the app and it was a pain to b

Do I really need to replace it?
Get a GL-iNet Flint 2 or Flint 3, get rid of that netgear garbage, they used to be decent but the current stuff sucks.

Should I return Flint 3, and if so what alternative?
No clue what you mean by “there is no reason for a Flint 2”. It’s one of the best performing GL.iNet routers out there.

What router should I get?
1000% the GL-iNet Flint 3. The software on most consumer routers makes me want to throw things, they are so locked down and useless. GL-inet uses openwrt with a nice skin on top of it. So, so, sooooo many features. Absolutely any weird network setup you want to do, the Flint 3 can do it. And it supp

WiFi version 7 pricing what is going on?
GL.iNet Flint 3 is a fantastic wifi 7 router at $200. Just bought one, very happy with it. The range is huge and the firmware / software on it is feature rich, includes Adguard Home, just toggle the switch. None of those annoying subscriptions, just a great router.

Router Replacement
How fast is your Internet plan? How many square feet/meters is your apartment? Is your current router providing good WiFi coverage? What do you do on the network? Do you have a NAS or a home media server? How many, if any, clients (computers/consoles/TVs) do you (or can you) connect via Ethernet cab

Which would you choose? I'm so lost. Flint 3 vs Flint 2
Actually, I am a GL.iNet official employee. Flint 2 has 4x 1G LAN ports. Flint 3 has 4x 2.5G LAN ports. Next time check out our product pages before providing misinformation :) We have many customers achieving faster speeds on their Flint 3 compared to their Flint 2 due to WiFi 7. It is not a moot p
