iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?

This is not a meaningful comparison. The Genelecs’ build quality is much better, with an enclosure made from aluminum and a high resale value even after years. But the 8010 model is designed as a size marvel first, sacrificing low end extension and SPL. The iLoud MTM can play much louder and lower a

iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?

Genelec is a whole other League. Since both kinda need a subwoofer for a decent bottom end ( the 8010 will love the 7050, my 8030c does!) the choice is even simpler. Dont get me wrong, iLoud is a nice way of monitoring, it has some low even it has a very small footprint.

Studio Setup (hardware recommendations and organisation advice needed)

If you're space and budget constrained on studio monitors, consider smaller (but still very good) monitors - Genelec 8010's or the MTM's from iLoud. There is a reason I always see HS5/HS7 and even HS8's on crazy sales used - they are tiresome. NS10's had their time decades ago, and yes - if your mix

Suggestions for desk speakers

If you like bass, you need big speakers (or a subwoofer). You can't beat physics. If you already have a decent DAC or interface, you could try the Adam T5V and the Adam T10S sub. You should be able to find them both for 750$. Keep in mind that the T5V are a little deeper than your specs. Otherwise,

Speaker placement advice

i think it’s best to hung big speakers from the ceiling on either side so that the column will not block the sound. Maybe there’s a way to hang them and turn them if needed depending on the situation. if you do this, i would get the tiny 8010 genelec speakers and move them forward a bit on your tabl

What should I get my son for Christmas, his setup currently is , digitone 2 , analog heat +fx , torso t1, and novation bass station 2

Presonus eris 3.5 is a great entry speaker. If you wanna go fancy iloud micro’s or high end genelec (8010 or something - the smallest gray ones are amazing. But beware these are music production speakers not party speakers. They’d get loud but party speakers are build different than monitor speakers

RANE ONE MKII Bluetooth speakers?

You can but there will be a significant delay like most blue tooth unless it has a mini jack cable option however it’s a common issue on most big PA systems due to the long cable runs. It was worse years ago especially if there were no monitors. This is where mixing in headphones or sync has its ben

Need an advice: Genelec vs Focal vs Neumann

Can't go wrong with Genelec. I have a surround setup with 8030 in the front and 8010 in the back with 7050 as the sub. 8010 definitely needs a sub but 8030 and 8020 can live without it. Neumann and ADAM should be a fine choice as well, haven't listened to the Focal Alphas.

Speaker Recommendations? (PA vs Monitors)

Basically any small studio monitor will do the job. They’re all tuned to be flat and won’t color your sound much. I’m a fan of the Mackie HR 624, Adam A7x, Genelec 8010/8020, there are so many options. Yamaha and JBL have good budget options as well.
