Speaker Recommendations? (PA vs Monitors)
Basically any small studio monitor will do the job. They’re all tuned to be flat and won’t color your sound much. I’m a fan of the Mackie HR 624, Adam A7x, Genelec 8010/8020, there are so many options. Yamaha and JBL have good budget options as well.

iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?
Replies here are mostly fanboying and probably never actually compared them. I myself was curious to try the small Genelecs and in this school I've had 6 months of hands on experience with both the MTMs and 8010/8020. iLoud MTM MK2 vs Genelec 8010 — which for a small untreated room?
Genelec people will tell you Genelec is good. But 8010 will require a sub to monitor energy below 70Hz iLoud will give a more faithful, closer to full picture sound while Genelec will be more accurate within the narrower spectrum it can reproduce. Pick your poison

What’s everyone’s favorite speakers?
I also use Genelecs, the baby ones 8010. Perfect for my needs, I need a flat un-coloured response for my work and these fit the bill.

Do You ever finish a track with none or minimalistic mixing?
Thanks for sharing the details. With that kind of setup, it’s actually quite normal to run into issues now and then. Laptop speakers, TVs, and even headphones all emphasize or mask different things - especially in the low end and stereo field - so without a neutral reference, it’s hard to judge how
