Is there a reason Garmin watches are never mentioned on LTT when they are talking about smart watches?

I've been rocking Garmin for years and recently moved up to a Venu 3s. Yes they are more expensive but for me I want something that does the health stuff well can give me some phone notifications and otherwise just stays out of the way with strong multi day battery life. Almost every conversation I

Fitness trackers/smart watches with immediate heart rate alerts?

I have a Garmin Venu 3S. Switched from an Apple watch and it seems to alert way quicker. I feel my heart rate increasing a little and a couple moments later the watch will confirm it, i get a notification asking if something is wrong/relax reminder. I bought the watch in the first place to better mo

The Love Affair is Ending

Garmin's sleep tracking is not nearly as good as Fitbit or Apple. Some garmins (with older sensors) have third tier accuracy on HR. The Garmin venu 3s has a newer sensor ,( the elevate 4 sensor iirc?)and it's HR accuracy is on par with Fitbit. Others complain that Garmin build quality on some models

Bye Fitbit Sense 2, hello Garmin Venu 3s

Unfortunately my decade or so of Fitbit watches is coming to an end. I have nothing really negative to say about Fitbit itself. I don't. Just... Google.

My wife and I both used to own the Sense 2, and hers lasted for just about 2 years and mine died a few weeks ago. Her battery died. Didn't last mo

A recent post got me thinking how important data is in making decisions about fitness and drinking

I treated myself to a Garmin Venu 3s last year and one surprising thing has been extremely eye opening. It ALWAYS knows when I drink. Even though I don't track my drinking in the app. Something about having more than two drinks in a night causes my body to have strong responses that it interprets as

Sleep trackers aren’t close

Anyone else wearing a Garmin and a whoop simultaneously?

I’ve had this version of Whoop since November 2023 and the Gamin Venu 3S since June 2024. They consistently disagree about my sleep score and amount of each type of sleep. In this case, whoop tracked double the REM of garmin. Anyone know whi

Help! Can't decide on a fitness watch to track workouts

I want to start this by saying I have loved my Apple watch up until now and have worn it every days since I got it about 5 years ago. Unfortunately, the battery no longer holds a charge dying halfway through the day (sometimes even if I've had a super lazy day and not really used it). I have tried

Is it time to let go of my beloved Sense?

I had the original sense and tried switching to sense 2 but went back….because it didn’t do as good a job of HR during exercise….i couldn’t do pixel because I have an iPhone; ended up with a refurbished garmin Venu 3s and I really like; better heart rate monitor (I wear a polar H10 during spin and g

Best smart watch for measuring heart rate?

I am a diehard fan of the Venu 3s. It does me WONDERS. I track my hr, hrv, sleep, body battery and stress levels (basically whenever I have a flare up it basically shows me how many "spoons" I have left for the day). Technically u can track hydration there too I just dont. It needs to be charged abo
