While not perfect, if it does make the very rare wonky data claim, you can fix it (like manually adjusting when you actually woke up, for example.) First of all, I suppose you have measured your heart rate multiple times and for longer pieces? My vivoactive 6 is at times wildly inaccurate while erging: sometimes it jumps for a few minutes to 170 or 180 when I know I am doing about 120), and then comes back on its own to the correct values.
