Instinct 3 Tactical
I guess most people will not get it for the tactical functions, but because it's the only option to get the I3 with MIP that doesn't have stupid colored accent on the casing. Garmin knows that well and it's a scummy practice if you ask me.

Not sure how much I like the DW-H5600-2
My search for a solar-powered watch with good vibration alarm and some smart features (notifications, mostly) that I don't need to charge every other week and can wear 24x7 without hopping between watches will most likely continue. I'm in the same boat, and I must say, there's no watch matching thes

Is this something I should be concerned about ?
Many Garmins have this issue, meaning you can find multiple posts of this on I3/I2X. It's a cosmetic, but it's an actual issue. You can probably get a replacement unit. If it doesn't bother you, nothing to worry about.

Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED vs Tactical — worth the extra $150?
I have the I3 amoled. I personally don’t think it’s worth the upgrade. I found some screen displays on the garmin app that can make the display very similar to the tactical.

Do you trust the heart rate?
The original instinct is an older sensor. I2 and I3 have the gen 4. But also Apple is known to have a more accurate sensor than garmin watches. None of them will stack up to a chest strap of course.

Love my instinct 3 so far only one issue
I agree. I had an Amazfit Active 3 for 5 days (there was a lot i loved, but I knew it would break it within another week lol) ans the sleeping tracking was spot on. I also sleep in chunks and it always knew to the minute. The i3 sleep tracking is so weird and finicky... I dont understand how garmin

What I learned from ordering (and returned) five Instinct 3
I heartily disagree. I'm buying Garmin because I want a quality product, and the I3 quality control has been abysmal. This is Garmin's failure, and as a result discerning customers will have to do their own QC. The most efficient way to do this is order a bunch and return the ones you don't want.

Durability of the Instinct? New to Garmin Watches.
I have tons of G-shocks and Instinct 3 Solar. While the I3 is the closest smart watch to a G-shock, its still a piece of tech, and that's what you're paying for, not the toughness of it. Its for sure more durable than most of smartwatchs, but in harsh environments or professions, it cannot hold up c

Instinct 3 and iPhone notifications
On IOS you can't specifiy it on the device it self , only if you have on of the compatible watches: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=TLeDN92ZU0AgN4df6HakwA I can change it per application on my fenix, but not on the instinct 3 solar... No idea why its different on both of them..
