Stupidest default colourway from garmin for the i3 The tactical has a different coloured flashlight as well, which is less tactical than the regular one That aint a solution

I guess most people will not get it for the tactical functions, but because it's the only option to get the I3 with MIP that doesn't have stupid colored accent on the casing. Garmin knows that well and it's a scummy practice if you ask me.

My search for a solar-powered watch with good vibration alarm and some smart features (notifications, mostly) that I don't need to charge every other week and can wear 24x7 without hopping between watches will most likely continue. I have the I3 amoled. I personally don’t think it’s worth the upgrade. I found some screen displays on the garmin app that can make the display very similar to the tactical.

The original instinct is an older sensor. I2 and I3 have the gen 4. But also Apple is known to have a more accurate sensor than garmin watches. None of them will stack up to a chest strap of course.

I think its either the instinct 3 console from garmin or the instinct 3 tactical from greenblack looks pretty ugly compared to the factory original instinct 3 amoled tactical face but it kinda copies the basic DNA here is the original face for reference (only available on the i3 amoled tactical)

The v4 is probably cheaper, although it can't be that much more for the v5, but I'm just guessing. Garmin also has some 'strange' distinctions between their different product lines. Maybe they thought that an I3 with V5 sensor would eat into sales of other more expensive models. Can't make it too ni

I heartily disagree. I'm buying Garmin because I want a quality product, and the I3 quality control has been abysmal. This is Garmin's failure, and as a result discerning customers will have to do their own QC. The most efficient way to do this is order a bunch and return the ones you don't want.

Of course not. Just take a look at I3 landing page on the Garmin website. It's all about fashion, style and looks. Basically nothing that was asked for in this forum.
