I heartily disagree. I'm buying Garmin because I want a quality product, and the I3 quality control has been abysmal. This is Garmin's failure, and as a result discerning customers will have to do their own QC. The most efficient way to do this is order a bunch and return the ones you don't want.

Of course not. Just take a look at I3 landing page on the Garmin website. It's all about fashion, style and looks. Basically nothing that was asked for in this forum.

It’s a defect. When I bought my I3 45mm, the fifth one was good. The shop owner and I looked at the entire batch of all the units in the store. He had to return 2/3 of them to Garmin. Sad.

I was the first person to report this bug on the Garmin forum. But Garmin hasn’t even responded to the post! This watch has had many issues since launch and it’s still unfinished. Oof, that IS bad. In my eyes that was the best looking I3 model, but that was based on the product photo. The real deal is not nearly as appealing to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the MIP and amoled have different range because of different casing (maybe the metal ring in the MIP model is limiting the range...?). I noticed this too! I swear my Garmins have always had metal buckles, from my forerunner 55 to my instinct 2x but now my I3 has this plastic buckle
