**TL;DR:**

Rode 205 km solo in the summer heat (33 °C max). No cramps, no bonk.

Key to success: early start (5 AM), strict fueling (80g carbs/h), smart pacing (mostly Z2), salt tabs, and short but consistent breaks. Didn’t taper, didn’t carb load but had a solid base and lots of planning.

I’ve been on Fenix MIP since the 7 and just made the jump to the Forerunner 970 AMOLED. I’m mainly training for a marathon right now, so I figured I didn’t really need all the extra bells and whistles of the Fenix.

First impressions:

After that i started running, and i have been missing my Garmin watch ever since.

Just got back on board with the Forerunner 970, and i freaking love the Garmin watches.

I love my new Forerunner 970 with the ultrafit wristband. I also tested the Fenix 8 and the Venu X1. But for me, the 970 is currently the most attractive and harmonious watch.

I purchased the Fenix 8 couple of days ago and like the watch and its features very much.

However, I noticed that the Display gets sometimes really dim, especially when it’s dark outside, to the point where I can hardly read the Dial.

I know that this has been an issue

Well, I decided to stop waiting on best buy after over 3 weeks of waiting and no updates. Ordered on Garmin and got it next day. Decided to give the fenix 8 back and get the 8 pro 🤘🏽 I have the fenix 8 pro 51mm- and I know its big on me but idc, i love it!! Hubby has the fenix 8 solar 51mm.
