New Fenix 8 owner here! I love the watch, but the Display Brightness bugs me…

hey there lovely people,

I purchased the Fenix 8 couple of days ago and like the watch and its features very much.

However, I noticed that the Display gets sometimes really dim, especially when it’s dark outside, to the point where I can hardly read the Dial.

I know that this has been an issue

Suunto vs Garmin

I’ve had a fitbit Versa 3 for quite a while and it’s recently died and I’m looking into upgrading for a watch that can do a bit more. I’ve been getting lost in all the extra little features that I probably won’t use to the full extent and need help picking one out. I had the Garmin Forerunner 970 in

RIP Series 7,8,9 and Ultra 1

Oh wow. Thanks for the information. That’s pretty recent, I couldn’t imagine it’s changed a lot either. My brother got one of their devices last year, he really likes the Forerunner 970. I’ve tried it out and the my impression was the same it’s not intuitive at all, lots of great data, but it’s not

Amoled VS Mip

I prefer MIP but I have a Fenix 7S Pro SS which is now too small for my increasingly crappy eyesight. So currently I'm rocking my Forerunner 970 because the display is super bright crisp and clear and I can read it without my glasses. But I really hate having to tap my watch (I don't have AOD because

Smartwatch for running

What smartwatch would you guys recommend for running? I'm running for two months and I'm looking for a good watch to track my workout. I was thinking about Garmin forerunner 970, Fenix 8 or maybe I just wait for Apple Watch Ultra 3. My biggest concern about Garmin is the OS due to a lot of people

Looking for the best triathlon/multisport watch for my situation (Garmin vs Coros?)

The 965 would be overkill for what you're describing, to say nothing of the 970. For the budget and use-case I'd recommend the forerunner 265, or even the 255 if you can find one new. Not familiar with the Coros watches, DC Rainmaker has a bunch of reviews.

Bring the phone on the run or leave it behind?

Your forerunner has LTE? My forerunner 970 does has that feature active and it has sent out distress signals before but I think it may have had to use my phone's signal. To my knowledge, ony the Fenix Pro with LTE can actually send out distress without phone.
