Leaving Garmin after 10 years (FR955 firmware fail). Suunto Race S or Coros Pace Pro?
I'm a long time Garmin user on holiday in Italy at the moment and my Forerunner 945 just died so I looked around for a replacement. The Suunto Race 2 titanium is less than half the price of a FR 970. I have a number of complaints about Garmin and how they treat customers so I thought it would be a g

Is an Oura Ring 5, Garmin Cirqa, or WHOOP worth it if I already have a Forerunner 970?
Unless you just like tons of data and getting into some kind of comparative analytics, if you have no intention of not wearing the forerunner 970 as you currently do, I can’t see a value case. The cirqa value case for many is the ability to not be wear their bulkier watches as much and potentially w

best watch for runners that can help with marathon training?
Very good answer. OP - for first time runner (and also a veteran one) basic watches will get the job done. For Garmin their running range is called Forerunner - as you go in price you get music, breadcrumb trail, then full maps , a flashlight and titanium bezel with sapphire glass on the top 970 mod

Pourquoi Coros ?

Wanting to sell fr 970 for a coros pace 4 for middle distance track trainings.
Moved from FR 965 3 month ago to pace 4. The whole coros system is miles better than Garmin. You won’t feel the quality like you do with with your 970 but the price difference between the watches you can’t expect the same build quality, but the pace 4 is extremely light to the point you don’t even f

Garmin 970 vs amazfit t rex pro 3
I think if you’re okay sacrificing the torch, the Forerunner 965 could be the best fit for your use. It’s almost half the price of the new 970, has great battery life, and still gives really solid fitness/running data. The 970 does have the latest Gen 5 sensor, but for the most accurate readings, yo

Cheetah vs Fenix
I still tend to compare Cheetah line with Forerunner. And here I can get to about 40 - 50 EUR difference to Forerunner 970. But then I look to TRex 3 pro where I can get price about 300 EUR which is extremely great. Or Balance 2 for about 235 EUR. I think Cheetah 2 is pass. I can't justify the price

MIP lovers: what would you do when Garmin quits making MIP screen watches?
I'd switch to Coros.Frankly I feel like I'm tolerating Garmin, lately. Every single one of their new watches comes with less battery life than its previous models, the Fenix lineup is getting ridiculous, they didn't even bother making a small size MIP F8, the Venu 4 is now a 2 buttons only watch, al

Any Running App or Watch That Gives Real-Time Alerts When I Run Too Fast or Too Slow?
Forerunner 970. Might be overkill for me being a novice runner though. There’s other more economical tiers that probably do the same thing. Garmins are known for good activity tracking. I’m sure you can get comparison lists of functionalities across lines

Are Running Watches Actually Useful...Or Just Gimmicks?
For me, they are very useful. I can plan out my workouts on intervals.icu, they automatically import into my watch, and then my watch helps me do the work out properly (i have a garmin 265). I do think that the higher end models will have measures that are mostly gimmicks, or, more frequently, can b
