Is an Oura Ring 5, Garmin Cirqa, or WHOOP worth it if I already have a Forerunner 970?

Unless you just like tons of data and getting into some kind of comparative analytics, if you have no intention of not wearing the forerunner 970 as you currently do, I can’t see a value case. The cirqa value case for many is the ability to not be wear their bulkier watches as much and potentially w

Switching from Garmin to Amazfit

As someone who has used the Garmin Forerunner 965, then the 970, and now the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra along with the HRM600, I’m overall very happy with Amazfit. That said, there are still a few things I miss from Garmin. On Garmin, I appreciated features like the web UI, daily suggested workouts, an

Talk me out of my Garmin…

I sold my Garmin forerunner 970 to get into my Apple Watch Ultra 3. I’m not gonna convince you of anything you do whatever you want. Personally I was sick of having a watch that didn’t do a lot of things and would have a laggy screen when I’m just trying to start an outdoor walk

We finally arrived..

I ordered the Forerunner 970 in March. I installed the apps on my phone and used it for a short while. Soon after that I sent it back. The many phone companion apps, the cheap feeling materials and the IMHO complicated menu just wasn't for me. I then bought the Balance 2 and have never looked back.

Pace Pro or Garmin 970 I got for $470

Its kind of dumb to compare watch released in 2022 (955) with a watch released in 2026(pace 4) Garmin have improved a lot since fenix 8 imo.Their recent software updates to newest models (F8, venu4, 170,570,970,E3 etc) specifically due to moving to common OS have given notable health features. Sport-Uhr Empfehlung

Lincoln and Lafayette today

I'm a bit of an idiot. I just got a Garmin 970 specifically because you can download gpx files and navigate with them, but i hadn't used it for navigation yet. However I got confused by the interface and thought the red lines designating trails were my intended path. I ended up a mile up Hicannon be

What's your best watch for runners or just using a phone app for now?

Heads up: went with Garmin® Forerunner® 970, Premium GPS Running and Triathlon Smartwatch and it already feels way more convenient than carrying my phone on runs. The pacing data and heart rate tracking have been super helpful for staying consistent so far.

WHOOP user’s first impressions of Garmin CIRQA — great band, frustrating app

From a UI/UX perspective, it’s just very dated and poorly thought out. Sometimes you have to dig through loads of menus to do something basic, and it’s in desperate need of an update. One of the main tabs is the calendar and you can’t set recurring events?! Have you ever tried to build a custom work

New to the forum, coming from Huawei watch

Me too! Very happy with the watch! I previously had Garmin Forerunner 970 watch, and before that a Huawei GT5 Pro, and before that two Polar sports watches. I am most satisfied with this current Balance 3 watch because it looks really good and has all the features I need. The Garmin Forerunner 970
