Apple Watch Can Predict Heart Failure Using pVO2 Data with an AI Model
I had been lifelong garmin wearer and (amateur) competitive runner for almost 20 years, but i am in the maintenance phase of life (I still run / race). But for me, my watch is becoming more of a lifestyle watch / heart rate monitoring tool. I would like to have closer analysis of any heart irregular

Tried apple watch and whoop for a month
I tried wearing an apple series 11 and a Garmin forerunner 965 together for a few days and these are my takeaways from it; Battery life: this doesn’t really warrant a comment here. I have to charge the AW daily and the 965 is 23 days Heart rate tracking: Almost identical. I checked during sleep duri

The agony of choice
Garmin 965 is not overkill, overkill would be to leave a device you're happy with and switch to another device, which almost certainly means an money loss. I'm very happy with the switch from Garmin to Amazfit, but my needs were different. Amazfit also offers the equivalent of Body Battery (Biocharg

Suunto Vertical a disappointment
I've used a Garmin for years. The last model was the forerunner 965 and the optical heart rate sensor did not work well. Almost unusable. I had to use a chest strap. I was not satisfied with the build quality of the watch and the strap. The belt was deteriorating rapidly. The watch quickly collected

power meter: heart rate monitor yes/no?
For me a strap is more comfortable, especially indoors. The data is also better, if you care. When I compared my Forerunner 965 to my Polar H10, the watch was a couple BPM lower and showed a slower HR response. The straps are EKG based so as soon as that electrical impulse is generated, the strap ba

Saved 500€ with the GT 6 Pro… but now I understand where it went
If you care about exercise and do sports, Garmin is the way to go. You can get Venu 3 or Vivoactive 5/6 or Forerunner 255/965 for not too much money. Or maybe the Instinct 3. For Huawei, it looks nice, and it's enough, but for nothing serious. I was a user of Huawei Watch GT3 and I was happy, until

I think my adderall was making me sicker
Garmin Forerunner 965. Which is way overkill for measuring sleep, but I bought it for myself after my 6 months of acute illness were over and I thought I'd be able to start running again. The Vivoactive or something similar would probably be good enough for these metrics.

Looking for a running watch, dual-band GPS is a must. Budget ~€200. Amazfit Balance 2XT vs. Suunto Run?
I have been using Suunto run for several months. I am a runner and do strength training twice a week. In 6 months of use, I have 2100 km. I was a Garmin user. The last watch I owned was a forerunner 965. Suunto run has a precise gps. It can be compared to the forerunner 965. They have the same accur

Is getting an Apple Watch worth if for running?
Will second this. An Apple Watch is fine starting out, but if you start to get serious about running and as your distances start increasing, you’re going to get frustrated with the Apple Watch. I’ve had the Garmin Forerunner 965 for a couple of months now and have loved it. Not only is it a great fi

Polar Vantage V3 owners: wait for V4 or buy V3 now?
I had the FR965, but I decided to go for the Vantage V3. When it comes to training load, Polar performs much better than Garmin because Garmin underestimates training in lower heart rate zones, so in order to achieve productive status, I often ended up overtraining. In my opinion, Polar also perform
