CPC

Dik tevreden 👍

Wearing fenix in the shower?

Absolutely. Me and my buddies have F6x, F7, i think FR945 (may be wrong), F3 and FR965 - nobody bothers to take them off in sauna and nothing has happened. For years. Although sauna is every Saturday, watches stay on maybe once a month. So not very often but still. We have discussed durability of Ga

What Watch to buy

Check out DC rainmaker or DesFit YT videos. They both do great in depth videos of the pros and cons of all triathlon or sports related tech. Without knowing more what you want to use it for, I would look into the garmin forerunner series. Different models at different price points, but all of them h

Another Vertical 2 going back, unfortunately

Fair enough, and good question. No, I do not need a new device, but the feeling of a potential change is precipitated by a few things (in order of importance): I came to the Fenix by way of a FR 945. I have always missed the weight and lower profile, but had "upgraded" due to wanting sapphire glass

Any hope for a broader outdoor line?

But a used Forerunner 955: it checks all the boxes and is cheaper than a new Garmin. If it's still too expensive, the used FR945, Fenix 7, Fenix 6 pro... Are good too. I always but used Garmins, never new ones, because they are so expressive.

Help Convince Me To Switch To Garmin

I love my Garmin FR 945. I've had it for years and the battery still lasts forever. Even with GPS and onboard music listening I only have to charge it every 7 to 10 days. I play a lot of golf and do triathlons as well so the fact that it has open water swimming capabilities, triathlon and golf activ

Flight watch

6 year old Garmin FR945. Something with big enough time so that they can easily glance at it and get on with their life. The history of the original German pilot watches can be found here https://teddybaldassarre.com/blogs/watches/flieger-watches it's all about simplicity, and ease of use. The giant

Garmin distance vs actual distance

Bingo. I was skeptical at first, but the tangents do have an impact on the overall distance ran. I ran the same marathon 3 times over 3 years with the same Garmin watch. The first two, my FR945 measured 26.58 and 26.52. My friend gave me the advice to run the tangents, the shortest distance along th
