Curious to know why you changed over to Suunto? I’m currently looking to upgrade from my Garmin to FR945 the 970, but also considering the Suunto Race 2. At the moment, I’m finding hard to justify spending so much extra on the FR970 than the Race 2.

It's anecdotal evidence, not a study. We had a Venu 2S water damaged and a Fenix 6X Pro. Garmin declined to help because it was no warranty period anymore. My friends Fr945 also got water in it. He got an FR955 with discount. And I have a couple friends, who had their Garmin ruined by water issues.

I went FR945 to the Apex 4 and I'm loving it. Almost the exact same form factor with a much better looking screen (still MIP for the Apex) and more responsive mapping. With the Forerunner, I was having to charge multiple times per week. Now it's once every 2-3 weeks and that's with daily activities.

As not only a long time Garmin user, but a former Garmin employee, what a weird way to glaze a now overpriced watch. When the Fenix was 600 bucks it was reasonable, now?! Absolutely not worth it. They didn't even launch the SOS feature on it, which is imo the one thing could've brought it to the sol

Varia 100% works with Garmin watch (that you can pair sensors to) as tested over the weekend because someone forgot to charge their Wahoo. On my FR945 it was hard to keep looking at the screen but it did vibrate anytime there was a car. But with the roughness of the roads I did miss these signals on

In your case, as your needs are already filled, the only way to find out is to buy the Mips version and test it. It would be more like "I like it better" type of choice, vs needs. If you don't use the sensors, makes sure to turn them off, will give more battery life. Google for tutorials. I never ma
