Fenix 8 amoled vs solar! Trade?

As someone who's owned a Fenix 3, 5, 6, 7, Tactix 7, Forerunner 735XT, 955, and now has spent time with both the Forerunner 970 and Tactix 8 AMOLED (which I ended up keeping because I've worn a 51mm Garmin for years), I think Reddit tends to overstate the downsides of AMOLED. MIP is awesome, and the

Fenix 8 AMOLED or Solar

I not no experience with the AMOLED Garmins but I picked up a Fenix 8 51 Solar… no regrets. As someone else said. The back light button deals with low lighting and as for using it in the sun… top tier!

MIP forever !

Bought my first Garmin in december 2024. It's Garmin Epix Pro gen 2 47mm. In general it's just awesome. But right now I'm thinking of switching it for Enduro 3 in 2026. Cheaper version of F8 Solar, and I don't need diving functionality or speaker/microphone. So in general... Yes probably MIP is more

Ultra 3 v Fenix 8

I like Garmin health metrics and display better. Its all in one app. Apple is all over the place and you have to charge the Ultra every 2 days or so. Source: I’ve gone back and forth from Apple to Garmin more times than I can remember. All I miss about Apple is Siri and the action button now I have

New to this…help me decide!

You say you’ve never had a MIP or Garmin, but have you ever seen/used one in person? If not, I’d recommend going in store somewhere and looking at it firsthand in order to get a feel for the screens and the size of the watch. Coming from an Apple Watch, you might feel like a MIP is underwhelming and

Back to MIP! Fenix 8 Solar

I don't know. Maybe I like the bright screen. I'm not going to the mountains or things like that. I bought the Garmin ecosystem, for health reasons: Index Scale, Index BPM and the Fenix 8 51mm. I have a Google Pixel Watch 4 45mm. I love it very much. Maybe the AMOLED screen makes the Fenix feel a li

Fitbit air user here - been waiting for the cirqa, but im about to just throw in the towel and fully switch

I guess everyone is at a different point in their journey. Garmin is the only brand I trust with VO2 Max, and training stats. I love my Fenix 8 pro and would have a hard time fully leaving. Tested the PW 4, it feels like a toy. Had the AWU 2 and 3 for a bit - great hardware, but tired of the battery

How to reduce fingerprint smudges?

It depends on their models. I have a Fenix 8 solar with Sapphire Screen. You are right to say that this doesn't happen with the latest Sapphire screen Garmin watches.

Back to MIP! Fenix 8 Solar

I got the Enduro 3 as my daily (very underrated Garmin watch) and the Fenix 8 Pro 51mm (for dress up purposes while preserving my metrics). I figured I needed a thinner watch as the second one and sold the F9 Pro (never the Enduro 3). I’m waiting patiently for F9 47mm lineup for my second watch. Bat
