Is it worth buying a new Fenix 7 Pro Sapphire 47mm for €450 today, or is it too old?
I feel like the Fenix 8 is losing its essence and becoming too much like the Epix line. I dislike the AMOLED screen, the reduced battery, and the non-sapphire glass. However, I'm concerned about the longevity of the Fenix 7 Pro since I plan on keeping it for several years

Cracked my Fenix 8 screen less than 24 hours in
I have the fenix 7 pro non-ss. Glass broke easily after a few months. It was in my pocket while leaning over a patient's bed, and was cracked when i took it out to wear it again. On the other hand my instinct 1 is still going strong with barley a scratch.

I wouldn't buy it. Fenix 7 in all versions have big problems with the buttons. If you go through reddit or Garmin forum, you will find hundreds of posts. I had F7X/PRO even for less, and returned it in two days. Poor display visibility, very very slow maps, etc. It's not worth the money. Forerunne
