How do you track a long ultra run when most watches battery lifes die after 20- 40 hrs? Also is the garmin 965 a good watch for running ultra marathons?
There are a few models now that can stretch to 80-100 hours or even longer if you configure them right: Large 51 mm models of Garmin Fenix 7 and Fenix 8 Garmin Enduro 2 and 3 Coros Vertix 1 and 2 Suunto Vertical 1 and 2 I think even Suunto Race 1 and 2 could be stretched to 75-80, Coros Apex should

What's one expensive thing you bought... but totally DON’T regret?
Garmin Fenix 7 Pro (SS) reminds me to workout daily, tracks every activity, syncs with Healthy 365 app. In built flash light - sounds dumb but I use it daily as I’m an early bird. Only have to charge it once a fortnight 🤙

Watches? What are people wearing out there.
Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Solar. The F7 was the first with touchscreen, which makes using maps much easier. And, battery life is outstanding

Your favourite smartwatch?
I used to be in your shoes. Battery life is still Apple Watch’s Achilles heal. The Garmin Fenix 8 is pointlessly expensive So I have TWO recommendations for you: Garmin Fenix 7: I still can’t come up with a reason to get the 8. The 7 does everything you need it to but… So does the Garmin Fenix 5! Fi

Fenix 7 pro
I've non-DLC F7 pro Sapphire solar.. Got tons of small scratches on bezel in first two months. But right now after 2.5 years they looks exactly like there were 2.5 years ago. Bezel is full of these small scratches.. But because of non-DLC titanium they are not that noticeable... Still good and no pl

Thinking about replacing my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro – looking for advice
-If you want absolute battery life and sapphire glass (assuming you do since you went pro for the fenix 6) go apex 4-If you want battery life and garmin: F7 if you want sapphire and MIP or forerunner 965 if not and amoled (will show maps a bit nicer than MIP)-If you want latest bells and whistle Gar

First garmin question
Fenix 7 (pro sapphire solar) is still a perfectly decent watch. If you are going for new, the enduro 3 is also an option (that is, if you wouldn't mind the 51mm size). it is priced similarly to the F7 on the garmin website and slightly above on other sellers (logical as the F7 is older than the E3).I

F7X Pro Solar to Enduro 3?
Agreed, I own (and love) the Enduro 3, and I'm getting a little over 3 actual weeks of battery time with running and using gps 6-7 hours a week (spread across 5 days). Which is incredible for my use-case, and way longer than my 47mm Fenix 7 had.

Fenix 8 Pro is useless...
Garmin traded my F7 SS for a F7 Pro Solar a few months ago due to software updates making it not sync with my stationary bike anymore. I feel like for my use case the pro lasts a bit longer than the SS did, but maybe it's just battery degradation differences. The latest software on the Pro also brok

What second hand Garmin Watch on a budget for regatta sailing?
The Quatix watches often sell for a premium over the Fenix line. The only sailing things you miss out on is a dedicated MOB button and ability to connect to certain Garmin chartplotters. You can 100% load all of the same sailing apps and potentially save yourself some money/expand the second hand po
