Impressive. I'm about to hit 4 years with my Epix Gen 2... I keep reminding myself that

The epix gen 2 is basically a renamed fenix 7 but in AMOLED. I have the fenix 7 pro sapphire solar mip, wife has the epix gen 2, and they are identical in every way except for screen technology and solar. The fenix 7 did not come in AMOLED, they released that version as the epix. For the fenix 8 lin

I had thr same feeling from Garmin, getting frustrated with charging for premium £1000+ watches, then hiding features behind a paywall Moved from a Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 to a Suunto Race S about 6 weeks ago & haven't looked back since

5 years will probably get some degree of burns-in, but it might still be usable. There are not many reports on Fenix 8 because it is relatively new, but older Garmin watches have plenty of burns-in reports, just go check the epix gen 2 forums. It is a technology issue that will always happen despite

Not the most frugal thing I know, I just splurged on myself with a new running watch, Garmin Epix Pro gen 2 sapphire. Ran be $450, and that is on sale. I run 1000-1500 miles a year and I like data. I think it will be worth it (and a lot better than the Vivoactive 4 I've been using since 2020.)

As much as I loved my Fenix 6 and epix 2, I can't stomach spending over a grand on a watch I'm going to upgrade in a couple years anyway. The venu 4 price was much better and I will feel less bad when I get my next watch. That being said I kept my epix pro gen 2 just in case I ever go on long hikes

The two major issues you'll hear about relate to battery life and visibility in sunlight. Many people see the compromises in these two as deal-breakers, and given that Garmin is switching a lot (if not all) of their watches to AMOLED or at least with AMOLED options, I think people are chirping about

I bought an Epix Gen 2 a couple of years ago. I don’t use half the features but I love the look and feel of it. Go for it! No one really needs a Rolex, Breitling, or TAG Heuer, either, but they sell a lot of them for no reason other than keeping time and looking great on your wrist. Why can’t we do
