Epix Gen 2

Garmin is worse. They didn’t update their 1200€ watch after just under 2 years. The Epix Pro Gen 2 only received bug fixes and no new features or UI after releasing their Fenix 8.

Garmin's UX game is so bad that it's made me consider selling my Epix Gen 2 and never buying another Garmin watch again.

Had my Epix gen 2 hr freeze on a couple of runs when using an external hr sensor. But the run was recorded fine. Otherwise I've never had my garmin crash. I've owned a few. That said, I'm using a Pace Pro currently. No issues no crashes on it even with an external hr sensor.

Suunto has very limited smartwatch features, especially on iOS. You'll be disappointed. Basically you'll get notifications on your watch and that is about it. Same issue for me too that it made me worry about my general health , went to get checked up and everything is fine , sleep , skin temp , respiration , resting heart all solid this silly update made me force myself to even take 10 days off running to think my body needed to absorb the training etc b

My Epix gen 2 start stop button quit working and I plan on getting a used Fenix 8. The Fenix 8 has the newer magnetic induction buttons which should be much better than the mechanical switch buttons on the older models.

Welcome to Garmin marketing world :) yes they make sure to keep release products over and over again so people just upgrade , don't be surprised if in a few months they release a new Cirqa with better sensor and people still buy it They made sure to put a 1000$ epix gen 2 pro into maintenance a few
