Best Garmin Watch for MTB

Fenix or epix line are both good, my epix Gen 2 is great can't fault it.

Apple Watch Ultra 1 users are you upgrading ?

Garmin is worse. They didn’t update their 1200€ watch after just under 2 years. The Epix Pro Gen 2 only received bug fixes and no new features or UI after releasing their Fenix 8.

Garmin died during IMLP

I feel your pain. My Epix gen 2 crapped out on me mile 25 of Ironman Copenhagen in 2023. Tbf I was similarly time-challenged that day. Went and bought a Fenix 8 with a 27 day battery life. Even I can’t go that slow…

I'm Impressed. Testament to the sapphire glass and DLC coating, 9 years on.

Damn and the scuff marks just age it like a fine wine! I’ve had great reliability with all of my Garmin devices over the years. Currently using an Edge MTB and Epix Pro Gen 2, they are both seemingly indestructible. The Epix literally keeps me healthy, and not so gently coerces me into training ever

Thoughts on vertical 2

I have just moved from Garmin - Enduro 2 / Epix gen 2 titanium sapphire whatever. I had a suunto 9 Baro about 4 years ago prior to Garmin. I used them all as “daily” watches but I don’t connect my phone - I can’t stand the notifications to my wrist so can’t speak to that aspect. All of the watches h

Vertical 2

I have a Fenix 8 and a vertical 2 and here is what i think. Sleep tracking on the Suunto doesn't work for me. Sitting around and watch tv in the evening is considered sleeping with Suunto. Therefore a lot of metrics are not right since i sleep much longer on the watch than i really do. For hiking i

My gripes with Garmin as an international pilot

Garmin's UX game is so bad that it's made me consider selling my Epix Gen 2 and never buying another Garmin watch again.

Should I wait for Fenix 9?

I am on Epix pro gen 2. Its working brilliantly for me so far.If the fenix 9 has there 3 things I am definitely upgrading.- A unit body like the Huawei GT racer 3 for example I like that kind of aesthetic. Sleek.- Instant pace updates(this is more software related).- I don't mind a high price but I

Just upgraded from AWU2 to Fenix 8. Officially joining the club!

I have the same situation - the switch from Apple to Garmin. Been using Epix Pro Gen 2 51mm for a few weeks with AWU2 switching and testing. I have already sold Epix - now it’s time for AWU2 to buy the Fenix 8 47mm with exact model. The 51mm were heavy and the software was little bit sluggish. The A

Switch from fenix 8

I’m using an Epix 2 and got the opportunity to use a Vertical 2 for a week. I loved the watch, it’s fast and easy to use. Just like it was said before, the lack of buttons gives way less ways to have shortcuts (which I use a lot). You would be likely to put the light on one meaning just another shor
