Alpha 300

I have the alpha 300 series. I like it, never had an issue or glitch, maps sucks, but have onX on the phone. Garmin inreach built in is a nice touch, but I use a mini inreach. Tested out the strength of the antenna, I live in a thick wooded forest and sent a friend with the collar while I sat at hom

If Garmin would set aside their ego and team up with onx, I’d pay extra to leave my phone in the truck if I could see property boundaries on my alpha 300. But I have to bring my phone with so I don’t trespass. IMO the map on the alpha is useless for anything I do

I have a alpha 100 I got used and ran it for years just upgraded to the alpha 300 and it’s way better but even the 550 pro plus can be linked to a garmin watch, now I like the 300 cause if I down a bird can’t find it I’ll put a way point down come back through with the dog on the way back to the tru
