What’s the best bang for your buck: espresso machines [2024]
used gaggia classic pro is prob the best bang for buck imo. built like a tank, easy to mod later if u get obsessed, and holds resale value. paired with a decent grinder it’ll easily give you real espresso without spending breville dual boiler money. for something simpler, the breville bambino or bam

Kitchenaid Espresso machine
Congrats! You have basically two Gaggia Classic Pro boilers for $70. You could easily mod this or keep it stock and enjoy traditional shots of this. This is a great deal. You should post this up r/gaggiaclassic

Would the stock Gaggia be enough for me, without PID or any mods?
I use a completely stock GCP. I turn it on before I hop in the shower giving it at least 10 min to warm up. I then pull 1 double shot for me and 1 double shot for my gf. I then steam milk for myself. Sometimes I’ll pull a third double shot for my sister. The stock gaggia does it just fine. Would mod

Good espresso machine that you say it's really worth buying?
For my two cents, Gaggia Classic Pro $500 and eureka mignon/silenzio will get you good stuff and you can continue to mod the Gaggia and make it even better over time

Is a fully kitted Gaggia as good as higher priced espresso machines?
A fully modded Gaggia Classic Pro can produce excellent espresso, especially if you’ve added a PID, upgraded the steam wand, and improved temperature stability. However, even with all the upgrades, it’s still a single boiler machine. That means you can’t brew and steam at the same time, and you’ll n

What's the cheapest machine that can make acceptable milk drinks?(Not picky)[$<500?]
GCP (gaggia classic pro) is exactly $500 before tax + shipping. Wonderful machine that you can get a ton out of if you treat it well. Was my first “real” espresso machine, absolute workhorse for many years before I upgraded. I’m sure you’ll get the usual “grinder is more important” comments which ar

Why do most famous coffee focused channels almost always avoid covering budget/cheap espresso equipment?
There’s a million cheap machines and they’re all various levels of bad to very mid. So there’s not much to say about them. The Breville Bambino is the best of any “cheap” machine and has been covered to death. I have a Gaggia Classic pro. Friend has the bambino. When pulling single shots, there’s li

I own both a Gaggimate Pro Gaggia Classic and a Lelit Bianca – here's what surprised me
Whats the german one? I own a Maticulous Epresso for 2 months since i had a gaggia classic pro with the 9 bar mod for like 15 years. A friend of mine modded his to a gaggiuino and we did a compare with the Maticulous and the Gaggiuino. We could not taste the difference and if there were any, the Gag

Anyone here gaggiamate their gaggia classic e24 and regret all the fuss?
I have a Gaggia Classic with Gaggimate, the non pro version (IE no pressure profiling). It solves the annoying little problems that I had with my GCP before the change. You get consistent temperature, pre infusion, great steam pressure and if you have Bluetooth scales it stops at your target weight
