Whinge: Fuji no longer has an entry-level
I think Fujifilm really messed up with this generation’s budget models like the X-T50 and X-E5. They could’ve easily stuck with the older sensor (or even the lower-resolution one from the H2S) and just added IBIS. A few years ago, if you wanted to buy a Fuji, you had clear options: entry-level lines

Older camera = better images ?
The images I take nowadays with my Fujifilm XT 50 are always full of noise despite being a 40MP camera If you pixel peep 40MP an 12MP and compare side by side, you're comparing much larger enlargement from the 40MP shot which has captured only a third of the light which means the results will be noi

A little help and advice
Thank you so much for your reply. I’m asking precisely because I have no experience with Fujifilm and wanted to hear different perspectives. My initial thought was the X-E5, partly because the 23mm kit lens really intrigued me based on the specs (though, of course, actual use is a very subjective ma

Switching systems after 12 years - or, How I followed my own advice
These are some fantastic points. I absolutely did think about them, just didn't want the post to read like a spreadsheet :) Ergonomics: That was a major concern, especially given that my only camera upgrade up to this point—from an Olympus OM-D E-M5 to the Panasonic Lumix G9—was largely motivated by

Direction of the Fujifilm as a company / system
The one time I posted here about my new X-T50 feeling awfully plasticky compared to my previous X-T20 I got put off pretty harshly. Apparently most people are ok with their 1.200 € camera feeling like a toy. Can't blame Fujifilm for acting accordingly though.

Official Gear Purchasing and Troubleshooting Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! December 19, 2025
Hey everyone. Looking for some gear advice. Currently I'm a Fujifilm shooter using the X-T50 & 100-400mm f4.5-5.6. I'm currently exclusively a wildlife and mostly bird shooter ( Yes I know, a bird shooter using Fujifilm 😅) Basically right now my Fujifilm upgrade path is limited to the X-H2S with it'

Can someone pleeeeeeease explain the fascination with Leica cameras?
Leica Q3 owner here. I'll try to write some thoughts in a random order and teact to some things that you've said, hopefully it will make sense. Firstly, the price of Leica gear is insane, noone should ever try to rationalize it. Period. You've said "quality of photo does not even come anywhere close

Is the Nikon Zf a camera worth saving for?
I switched from a Fujifilm x-t50 and a Sony A7C II to a ZF and no regrets so far. I love the 40mm f2 lens and rather than a grip I like the SmallRig half case as it has an integrated half grip that makes holding the camera much easier. I also have a Z5ii and I don’t love the way it feels. It is more

How did you get into m43 system? What's your future plans with it?
Wanted a camera to explore photography again and my priorities were it being small and stabilized, then ideally not representing too much of an investment so if I ended up not liking it I wouldn't lose that much if I sold it. Used/refurbished M43 fit these requirements very well and I haven't had an

Leaving the Sony A7CII to go back to Fuji: X-E5 or X-T50?
Hmm then to be honest I would go Nikon Zf. It has film recipes as well, built quality is way above Fujifilm. It has fantastic big EVF and best in the market manual focus assists to shoot with brilliant Voigtlander lenses. I wouldn't buy XE5/X-T50 for EVF experience. Choose X-T5 for better EVF if it
