Indefinite travel: Tech/camera gear? Roast my packing list

The camera struggle is very real! As a former Fuji system owner (have had access to or owned the XT30ii and XT5), the XT-1 and 50-200mm (not sure which one you have, I see a 55-230 and 55-200 in their current lineup) falls short for wildlife (slow autofocus and not bright lens) and isn't really a gr

Bought an X-S20 from Amazon and Got this Instead

Nahh, you're fooling yourself, X-S20 have better processor, battery, IBIS. Plus he paid for the price of X-S20 which is more expensive, so X-T30 II being a better camera isn't even close.

Deinfluence Me: Fujifilm X-T30 III

Reason not to buy this is because you could buy X-T30 II 2nd hand at a more reasonable price.

XT-30 iii or Xt-50

And this is why o regret getting the X-T30ii over the X-T50. The camera was an experiment to use as an everyday carry, so I didn’t want to go overboard when the spending. I now wish I had.

Z50 II vs X-T30 III (or even the X-S20)

What camera to rent for practice and hopefully buy in the future?

A nearby camera rent service that my friend refers mainly has fujifilm and i was recommended xt30ii but when i look at shots taken by this, every single one has the cinematic look which i think isn't what i want if im going to boracay. i want the photos to be vibrant so there's that.

I tested my Minolta 500mm F8 AF Reflex against my more modern 150-600/70-300 glass and was surprised.

Fujifilm xt30ii. Lack of IBIS is pissing me off so much. Here is my odd mirror lens compared to a common vintage zoom. To be fair for a manual focus lens I can adapt my Photosniper (Tair) 300mm F4.5 which is a relatively sharp vintage tele lens. It is just super uneconomic without the rifle stock :)

Stuck Between OM-1 Mark II and Fuji X-T5 — Need Real-World Advice, Not Spec Sheets

I have a Fuji X-T30ii and an X-H2s with various lenses and accessories. I'm coming from Nikon, and after three years with Fuji, I'm preparing to switch back to Nikon. The Fuji autofocus is simply frustrating, and the X-Trans files have blurred details in organic structures (leaves, grass, etc.). Fuj

"Hiiiiiiiiiiii"

Biggest problem imo is the fact that the X-T30 II doesn't have animal AF (and Fuji's AF isn't known for being very good...), so the lens is a little bit hard to use. Otherwise the size isn't really an issue.

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! March 13, 2026

Canon's been on my shit list for not allowing third-party lenses so I almost reflexively want to back the Fuji option. But the X-T30 (or X-T30 II) is not at all what you want to buy in the Fuji ecosystem, it's basically the noob trap of the Fuji world. For the money those cameras cost I consider IBI
