EDIT: Thanks for all the replies! Ended up lowering the priority of one of my requests (super fast AF) and opted for a Fujifilm X-T200 + 15-45MM F/3.5-5.6 kit lens + Fujifilm 35mm f1.4 lens, combo of which ran me just shy of $900 new (including taxes, after student discounts).

I personally think the X-T10 has the best sensor (X-Trans II) of that group, and since you already have a bayer sensor I'd skip those cameras (X-A5, X-T200). It also has the most functional body, along with the X-T20, but I would only pay the ~30% premium for that camera if you really need the bump

X-T200 is actually not Fuji. It was made OEM by Xacti corporation. Go for X-T2 or X-T3 or X-T20 or X-T30. Better ergonomics, better image quality, slightly better colors, better dynamic range.

I do not know the prices in US, but any camera under your budget would suffice with a 35mm lens. Aim for the comfort, because the camera should inspire you to go out and shoot. As an X-T20 owner I would definitely recommend the X-T2 and X-T20 over the X-T200, for their build quality, controls and performance for stills. I'd point out though that only the X-T2 has a proper dedicated ISO dial, and only the X-T2 and X-T20 have proper dedicated shutter speed dials.
