Am I welcome here?

Am I welcome here? Hi just got the Fujifilm x-t200 This was within my budget and I genuinely like this camera alot but I would have liked it even more if it had custom film simulations.. right now I just look at the recipes and try to make it while shooting which can be annoying but I guess I can g

Fujifilm X-T200 to start with?

The X-T200 is fine as a camera, but it has some limitations : - first is that you cannot reprogram all teh buttons the way you want, so if you use it for a while you will probably end up frustrated by the lack of user customization. - second is the fact that it uses a Bayer sensor, not the X-Trans t

Canon M50 Vs Sony a6400 Vs Fujifilm X-T200

So I'm an painter and i want to make speedpaintings and vlogs on youtube.

Canon M50 seems like a reliable camera to start making videos, but it's extremely old so I don't think it has the latest features.

Fuji X-T200 looks good on paper and specs whise, but it looks like it has some big issues wit

Best budget body gear for cheap manual focus lens - TTArtisan 25mm F2?

I would say something like the Sony A6000 is a great option lightweight and perfect for manual lenses. The Canon EOS M50 is another choice, with adapters available if you want to try different mounts. A bit more expensive but the Fujifilm X-T200 has excellent manual controls and stays compact. Any o

Thoughts on the rumoured film simulation dial for the new X-T50?

It's been a while since I sold it but I'm pretty sure on my old X-T200 the dial to the left of the viewfinder controlled film sims and couldn't be remapped. So, it's nothing new, it's just refined a bit. I hate it, but for an entry level camera, I see why it's there.

In the brink of getting a Z5. Any advice?

I've also surveyed for Sony and its colours turn me off, especially its greens just fall flat and green is a colour I place importance in due to the tendency of me shooting nature. I was also considering Olympus OM5, Fujifilm XT200... But Olympus' micro four third sensor turned me off as I want to s

What entry-level camera to consider for portability, fast autofocus, and low light capabilities?

EDIT: Thanks for all the replies! Ended up lowering the priority of one of my requests (super fast AF) and opted for a Fujifilm X-T200 + 15-45MM F/3.5-5.6 kit lens + Fujifilm 35mm f1.4 lens, combo of which ran me just shy of $900 new (including taxes, after student discounts).

**In case there are

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! March 06, 2026

I’ve been using a Fujifilm X-T200 with the Fujifilm XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ and Fujifilm XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS II. My main gripe is the autofocus. It’s schizophrenic and regularly grabs random background objects no matter what AF mode I try. Ergonomics are also cramped for larger hands and o

S5 in 2024?

So, I am owning the s5, and I had a Fujifilm, a Nikon z6, and I prefer the s5 out of those. I am doing like 80% still photo, 10% photo on moving subjects, and 10% of video. The s5 is really good, except for the auto focus, however, the af is not as bad as people like to tell. For example, for still

Switching from a Fuji a2 to something better

I personally think the X-T10 has the best sensor (X-Trans II) of that group, and since you already have a bayer sensor I'd skip those cameras (X-A5, X-T200). It also has the most functional body, along with the X-T20, but I would only pay the ~30% premium for that camera if you really need the bump
