Do you have a source for that? I’ve used hotshoe thumb grips on all my Fujifilm cameras with no issues for years. Lots of reputable companies make those grips for multiple generations of cameras, do you think people would continue to make and use them if there really was such an issue with them? I d

Not looks. They are plastic. The whole camera is plastic. In Fujifilm’s term is basically the level of building quality of fujfilm x-a7 or x-m5 ish. That’s why it’s lightweight 😉

Long term Nikon user here that recently made the decision to venture into Fujifilm for a more compact setup for ‘casual’ use. I quickly rules out the x-m5 because of the lack of view finder - when the sun is bright and it’s hard enough to focus, having just an LCD screen is terrible UX for me. Also
