I’ve shot extensively with the GFX 100 II for commercial work, so I know that system inside out. It’s an amazing camera — but it’s also a bit of a Swiss-army knife. It tries to do everything at once: speed, video, hybrid usage, versatility. And from a specs perspective, yes, Fuji wins almost every c

canon colors from the DSLR era were the best. I've shot both ef and rf professionally- and those dslr sensors had something special. that's where canon got the reputation from. the rf colors are quite a bit different, still good, but much less special, to my eye anyways. i also own sonys, fujifilm,

I was shooting full frame. Canons for almost 10 years, switch to Sony for 5-6 years and now I am using Phase One IQ3 100mp and Fuji GFX 100 II. The reason I switched to Phase One was to slow the pace a lil bit and to precise more my shots. I do mostly commercial photography for campaigns and I shoot

Glad you enjoyed! And yes, there is generally a lot more magic sauce in pre than in post - styling, intentional color contrast, and of course lighting. I think the iT32 is the best product Godox has come out with, it makes all the right compromises and offers a very unique experience for the run and

It's no doubt true that as we move deeper into the mirrorless age we move further from the style images that we've grown used to. My thought is that the advancements in sensor and lens technology actually move us further away from the concept of a "photograph" at all. Dynamic range was limited which

I am on a job now with the X2D2 and it’s ok. I will be buying a GFX 100 mk2. There are a few things I like. Design, menus and the app. Obviously resolution etc is great too. HB colour is nice. 2 things I hate. One silly but annoying and one massive oversight on HB’s side. 1: The neck strap lugs on t

Both the GFX and X2D were built for professionals, and as you're shooting moving subjects, the GFX is the better camera. I own 2 GFX 100 II bodies, and an X2D. Both are used for professional jobs, though the X2D is used when I need accurate colour reproduction for printing. The GFX will do exactly w

Thank you for your response and the accompanying article. From my experience, testing (and judging by the tone and rhetoric in said article) I am somewhat skeptical that it is as bad as presented. He quotes 22.4 megapixels but compared to my Fujifilm cameras around that resolution, as well as others

canon colors from the DSLR era were the best FWIW, at some point for quite a few years Canon used abnormally weak CFA which lead to poor colour accuracy. Of course weather camera JPGs were pleasing or not is and was entirely subjective. i also own sonys, fujifilm, leica, and om system cameras as wel

I was in the exact same spot comparing GFX 100 II vs X2D/X2D II a few weeks ago, and here’s the thing nobody tells you: the “same Sony sensor” doesn’t mean the files look the same. The Hasselblad color and tonal rolloff is totally different. You switch to Hassy for the look and the shooting experien
